A process, not a destination.

Most advice tells you to “love yourself” like it’s a command or a final destination you’re supposed to reach. But for many of us, that feels out of touch and impossibly intimidating. (So much so that I decided I needed an entirely new title for my “Love Yourself” newsletter if I was to continue on with it.)

Self-love isn’t a trophy to win; it’s a garden to tend. (And I’m a sucker for a theme.)

In gardening, propagation is the act of taking a small cutting of a plant and giving it the right environment to grow its own roots and become a whole new plant. It’s a slow, rhythmic cycle of trial and error. This newsletter is about applying that same patient curiosity to our own lives.

Here, we focus on the process:

Permission to be Messy: Propagation is sometimes painfully slow, and it’s okay if some of the cuttings don’t take. We use the knowledge we’ve gained, and we try again. I like to look at it like I get to keep all of those experience points I’ve earned along the way.

Every week(ish), I send out a note designed to help you breathe a little easier:

No commands, no hacks, no toxic positivity, and no pressure to be perfect. Just some tools to keep growing.

Join a community of people who are learning to grow, fail, and try again. Together.

Delivered weekly(ish). By humans, for humans.

Propagating Self-Love

A process, not a destination.
